A nice charatirisric place to come and socialise. Exeter isn't my usual haunt of the woods but this place is a credit to it! With plenty of drink choices and nice pizza menu choice. Nice friendly bar service.
Classy pub for a pint. The best highlight was the washroom because of its unique deisgn of the washing basin. Had a really great laugh from it.
Topsham Brewery & Taproom is an outstanding tap house in Exeter, offering a fantastic selection of local beers and ales. I would recommend the utopia or Devon red cider. If you find yourself in the area, it's a must-visit destination.
Additionally, they serve delicious pizzas outside. While the wait for your pizza is typically around 30 minutes, the delectable taste makes it well worth the patience.
Really cool space, more upmarket than most taprooms with a great range of Topsham beers plus a well curated selection of local guests. Pizza looked great but I didn't eat. Very friendly and relaxing
First visit here today and probably the last. The first guy that served us was very helpful and gave us some samples. Ordered our first drinks, Utopian Stout, was very nice and at first a very pleasant experience at the brewery. Went to order the second pint and asked for a Utopian, when realising she was pouring out Utopian Lager rather than stout I pointed out the issue that I meant stout only to be told I should've read the menu as there are are different Utopian beers available. I told her I didn't read the menu previously and was unaware of what was available as the previous barman gave us some recommendations and samples to try which is what I based my previous order on. Needless to say she didn't ask what Utopian we wanted and obviously assumed we just wanted lager. Wouldn't change the order when the mistake was mentioned and was very rude when it raising the issue. First impressions were very good only to be let down by her poor service. Avoid this place if you can and if you do visit there then make sure you're completely specific as to what you want to order as they'll make an assumption without asking. I accept fault on my part for not looking at the menu given my first experience but you don't go into a curry house asking for a madras without the server asking what meat you would choose....word of advice, if you have more than one Utopian to be selected then please clarify which one the customer would like. Less assumption. Also the fact I overheard her complaining to another member of staff about me when questioning her makes me wonder why she's still in employment.
One of the best taprooms I've visited. A fantastic beer selection in a lovely building next to the river.
I wish they served 2/3 instead of just pints and halves, but other than that it's awesome
Great selection of beers. The pizzas are unbelievable, among the best I've had!!
Annoying you cannot book a table, so can't be a destination venue as quite small inside so often no tables free so need to go elsewhere ! Also, while most staff there are fantastic, there are a small number who are indifferent, bordering on rude, which is a shame as it adds a negative element to an otherwise amazing experience.
Great atmosphere, exceptional service, and tasty beers. My favorites were the West Coast IPA and Shiny Hazy Pale. We went twice, it was packed on Saturday night - we got a table, we just had to wait around for someone to leave. It was dead on Sunday night, available tables all around.
